Plastering single or a number of independent piers is very similar to plastering attached piers.
When you are a plastering a single independent pier, you must check the pier for suction and make sure it is plumb. You should also make sure you are using the correct plaster for that particular task. The pier should be marked out on the floor using a floating rule and square and the beads should be fixed to the markings. You can then plaster to the beads as normal.
