The channel that is used to get rid of the water should be fixed in position before the screeds are laid out. All of the preparation is the same as laying flat floors.
The screeds can be sand and cement or timber.
Ruling in these floors are harder than ruling in flat floors because they can become narrower. If it does become narrower, you have to angle the rule to avoid knocking into the sand and cement either side.
