Plastering FX Ltd ("PFX", "we", "us", or "our") operates the PFX+ mobile application and the
plasteringfx.com website (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using PFX+, you agree to the collection and use of
information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, password, profile photo, bio, trade/skill
details and location (town/region) you choose to add to your profile.
- Content you post: photos, videos, posts, comments, messages, marketplace listings,
job listings and any other content you share within the community feed, groups or marketplace.
- Communications: messages you send to other users or to our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: device model, operating system, app version, unique device
identifiers, crash logs and diagnostic data, and how you interact with the app (e.g. screens viewed,
features used), collected via Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring.
- Push notification tokens: used to deliver notifications about activity relevant to
you (via Firebase Cloud Messaging). You can disable push notifications at any time in your device
settings.
- Camera & photo library: with your permission, PFX+ accesses your camera and
photo library only when you choose to take or attach a photo/video to a post, message or listing. We do
not access your media library in the background.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- To operate core features: the community feed, groups, marketplace, job board and PFX Academy.
- To send you push notifications and service-related communications.
- To moderate content, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms of use.
- To monitor app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve the Service through analytics.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
3. How We Store & Share Information
Your account data, content and messages are stored securely using Supabase, our backend database and
authentication provider. We also use Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration
and push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy
commitments, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Content you choose to make public within the app (such as posts, profile details, and marketplace or job
listings) is visible to other users of PFX+. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect
the rights and safety of PFX, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or
sale of assets.
4. Your Choices & Rights
- Access & correction: you can review and update your profile information directly
in the app.
- Camera/photo permissions: manage these at any time in your device settings.
- Notifications: disable push notifications in your device settings.
- Account deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal
data at any time by contacting us at contact@plasteringfx.com.
We will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to
retain it to comply with legal obligations.
If you are located in the UK or EEA, you have rights under UK GDPR/GDPR including the right to access,
rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact
us using the details below.
5. Children's Privacy
PFX+ is intended for trade professionals and enthusiasts aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal
information, please contact us so we can remove it.
6. Data Retention & Security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service,
comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use industry-standard
technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is
100% secure.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting
the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of PFX+ after
changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
